Once we have jointly established a clearly defined target, Oxford Limited will call in, and work alongside, experts from the required areas of the University community to provide the materials, ‘know how‘ and additional design input to assist partners in all they need to establish and grow their Oxford licensed business.
We realise how important a smooth flow of information is to developing licensed products and our approval process reflects this. We believe in clearly understanding our Licensees' ranges early on in the design and development stages; most product approval takes place at this point.
Aesthetic appearance, Intellectual Property use and Quality Levels are all signed off in principle before production commences. Provided products match the agreed criteria, we expect to need very little involvement once the product reaches the market and rely on our Licensees' integrity and consistency to maintain taste and quality levels. Full details of the approval arrangements are agreed as part of the business planning process.
